What We Believe

New Life is a Full Gospel, Spirit Filled Church. Our Statement of Faith, also known as our Tenets of Faith, support the Biblical teaching that the Gifts of the Spirit are for today. We believe that as there was virtue and power in Jesus when He walked this earth, that same power exists today in His name. Therefore, all our prayers are prayed in the name of Jesus, as we believe it is by His authority we can see healing, deliverance and other signs and wonders manifested today.

The Scriptures Inspired
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct. (II Timothy 3:15-17, I Peter 1:23-25, Hebrews 4:12)

The One True Godhead
We believe the triune Godhead is comprised of three separate and distinct personalities consisting of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who are eternally self-existent, self-revealed and function as one entity. Jesus Christ, who is God manifested in the flesh, is the second member of the Godhead, co-equal and co-eternal with the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Man, His Fall And Redemption
Man was created good and upright, for God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." But, man, by voluntary transgression, fell and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ the Son. (Genesis 1:26-31, 3:1-7, Romans 5:12-21)

The Salvation Of Man
We believe man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. By believing in our hearts that Jesus died for us, and confessing that with our mouth, then we are accepted by God, and our sins are forgiven. (Romans 10:8-10)

Water Baptism
We believe that the ordinance of baptism by a burial with Christ should be observed as commanded in the Scriptures by all who have really repented and in their hearts have truly believed on Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In partaking of this ordinance, we declare to the world that we have died with Jesus and that we have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (Matthew 28:19, Acts 10:47-48, Romans 6:4)

Baptism In The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, and by the subsequent manifestation of spiritual power in public testimony and service. (Acts 2:4, 10:44-46, 19:2)

The Lord's Supper
"And when he had given thanks, He broke it, and said, 'This is my body which is for you. DO this in remembrance of me' In the same way also the cup, after supper saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in my blood, Do this as often as you drink it in remembrance of me.' Let a man examine himself and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup." (I Corinthians 11:24-25, 28)

The Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. And, that each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the general assembly and church of the first born, which are written in Heaven. (Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22, Hebrews 12:23)

The Blessed Hope
We believe that Jesus is coming again to gather all His Saints to Heaven. (I Corinthians 15:51-52, I Thessalonians 4:16-17, II Thessalonians 2:1)

The Millennial Reign Of Jesus Christ
We believe that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ will return with His Saints from Heaven to rule and reign for ever! (Romans 11:25, Revelation 19:11-16, 20:1-7)

New Life Church is a Pentecostal, Charismatic, Full Gospel church. We believe in all the gifts of the Holy Spirit including; speaking in tongues, healing, deliverance and all the manifestations of the Holy Spirit as outlined in I Corinthians 12. We believe that signs and wonders are still for today. Therefore, all our Worship Services reflect this belief.

New Life has an active Worship service. We use instruments of praise to worship our Lord, Jesus Christ. Our worship service consists of contemporary music, played by talented musicians on the guitar, drums, organ, piano, sax and other instruments as supplied by the Lord. New Life has several expressions of worship including banner marches, dance, flags and various other displays of celebration. It is not uncommon to see children and adults dancing before the Lord during one of our weekly services.

In our Worship Service, we have various forms of expression toward the Lord. Below are some of the expressions you might see in our services... and the Biblical reasons for them.

Praise Him With Song
Psalms 146:2 "I will praise the Lord while I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being."

Praying In Tongues
I Corinthians 14:15 "I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also; I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also"

Musical Instruments
II Chronicles 5:12-13 "And all the Levitical singers, Asph, Herman, Jeduthun, and their sons and kinsmen, clothed in fine linen, with cymbals, harps and lyres, standing east of the altar, and with them one hundred and twenty priests blowing trumpets in unison when the trumpeters and the singers were to make themselves heard with one voice to praise and to glorify the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice accompanied by trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music"

Dancing Before The Lord
Psalms 149:3 "Let them praise His name with dancing; let them sing praises to Him with timbrel and lyre."

Lifting Hands
Lamentations 3:41 "Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens."

Shouting
Psalms 47:1 "Clap your hands, all ye people; Shout unto God with a voice of triumph."
